Falling in love is a unique experience for everyone. Love can be seen as a choice, or as a spontaneous act of fate. It can come across you suddenly, or develop naturally in a course of friendship. The commonly known adage "the path of love never runs smooth" is often true for many couples and individuals. Love can occur at any age, and fresh love between couples is a beautiful sight to behold.
The signs of someone falling in love are frequently described as clichs. Although the experience and feelings of this newly discovered love is unique to the individual, there are commonly shared signs.
There are emotional indicators which reveal themselves during the initial stages of falling in love. Emotions are often taken for a ride on a roller coaster in the early months. They change frequently as a result of the charging hormones coursing through you. It can be a daunting time due to the increase of adrenalin and the rush of new emotions previously not experienced. Your emotions may also conflict with each other at times; feelings of disbelief, uncertainty, fear, happiness, contentment and excitement to name a few.
There are also physical signs of falling in love. You can have difficulty in communicating to the one you love; for example blushing or stammering when speaking to them. You may talk faster and less coherently then normal. There can be a loss in appetite and concentration if you are going through a difficult time. When you are in love the features which attract you to your partner become heightened in your eyes. You may use terminology not previously part of your vocabulary, for example describing your girlfriend as "the most beautiful girl in the world". Women can become starry eyed and flushed, and the world becomes a beautiful place.
Finding love is a life changing experience. There are those who love only once, and when they lose their loved one, a part of them dies alongside them. We see this also in nature, for example swans mate for life, and often pine away when they lose their soul mate. However there are also others who find love more than once. It is perfectly possible to love more than one in your lifetime with all your heart. The signs of falling in love however remain consistent, whether is your first time or fourth time of falling in love.
