I stood before the altar,
bathed in scarlet red.
Lifeless yet alive
You called for me in silence.
Free yet chained,
satiated yet in hunger.
Long before I learn of light
You have waited for my coming.
An unseen hand reached
leaving a touch, on my heart.
Warmth in the cold,
an unfading light, in the void.
Rejoiced, as my breath taken away
gaining more as I lose.
In faith I forfeited everything
and in faith, I gained everything.
