Long have I waded in the arms of the night,
Lulling in softness stripped of glaring light.
Pastel stars touched longing girl's inner dreams,
Pretty jewels in heaven's velvet seams.
Sinking into billows of escaping bliss
On softened shrouds of sweetest caress
Couldn't wait for the fading of day,
Rushing into arms of duck-down duvet.
Now returning the sun's full kisses for me,
Swaying in her rays, a prisoner set free.
Sunlight shines on my uplifted face,
Starlight sparkles in my eyes by grace.
Romanced by the moon in the sultry dark,
Smiled on by light at bird's first lark.
Dancing in and out of night and morn,
Heavy curtain of darkness' stripped and torn.
