Poetry: If I could

by Ebony Hunter

Created on: October 24, 2008

I feel a certain feeling

shifting through my bones

a sort of chilly sensastion

because i'm all alone

if I could take back the years

that i let slip by

perhaps i could eliminate

the reasons why I cry

I mourn

and inside I'm torn

because he doesn't see me

he looks right through

and if I could

i would bring about a new truth

a truth that leaves him hurting

bleeding with unimaginable pain

as i sit here unscathed

but i can't take it back

and i can't change his mind

but if i could

the victory would be mine
