My first two days of college were two days I'll always remember.
Here a few years back, I was a new student in my local community college. The first day of classes, as can be expected, can be overwhelming to a new student, with class schedules, where to find the right classrooms, buildings, and in some cases, how to get from one class, to your next class all the way across the campus on time. For some of us, walking into class several minutes late can be pretty embarrassing, especially on the first day of classes. My classes by chance were assigned in the morning mainly, with one late class in the afternoon. There was a two hour break before my last class of the day, and I was exhausted! With what felt like fifty pounds of books in my backpack, I went to the lunch hall where I had remembered seeing a section called "the quiet area." This was a real nice addition to the lunch hall. It had nice comfortable couches and had convenient tables to do your class assignments on. I sat down and gave a sigh of relief at finally having the moment to take a while to just sit and relax.
I sat there relaxing and decided to go use the restroom but was unsure where it was at. There was a row of windows that I hurriedly walked upto and asked for directions. Walking quickly down the halls, I seen the the bathrooms and pushed it open in a hurry and went into a stall. After a couple minutes, I heard some other voices in the bathroom and and then felt the blood rush to my face. These were female voices. I heard the stall next to me open, and sure enough, I looked down and all I saw was a pair of pink, ladies pumps. Realizing I had inadvertently walked into the ladies restroom by mistake, I decided to just sit there and wait it out for the ladies to leave, then I'd just quietly, but very swiftly sneak out the door so no body would notice. Luck wasn't on my side because these ladies talked and talked and talked. Finally realizing that I had been waiting for quite a while for them to leave, I just decided to walk straight out, not making eye contact. I did just that. On my way out, however, they noticed me walking for the door, started laughing. It truly wasn't one of my favorite moments.
Back in the quiet area, I set my books down on the table and took a deep breath. I was tired, really tired. I couldn't wait to get home so I could just fall on my bed and take a much needed nap. Realizing I hadn't ate anything that morning, I remembered I had put a chocolate bar in my backpack, and dug
