US elections 2008: How McCain should distance his campaign from President George Bush

by Cosmin Pascu

Created on: October 24, 2008

It would be a difficult job to distance from such a tragedy. Let`s be honest that behind a president there is a political party which is responsible for allowing Bush to make such atrocities for the American people and against the rest of the world. It would be very difficult for McCain to be a different president. We are constantly being asked to call a wolf a lamb and this is the very thing that runs against the new republican president. Although, I find Frank`s Rich (the NY Times columnist) comment to be funny and yet so relevant. `Even Republicans are rapidly bailing on a McCain resuscitation. It's a metaphor for the party's collapse that on the day of the final debate both Nancy Reagan and Dick Cheney checked into hospitals. They are not waiting for votes to be counted before carrying out their first round of Stalinist purges. William F. Buckley's son Christopher was banished from National Review for endorsing Obama. Next thing you know, there will be a fatwa on that McCain-bashing lefty, George Will` [1]. Here, once again, we see the consequences being attached or thrown on the next republican leader. Will McCain ever come back to life?

The ethical mind seems to be reflected by the sad and deadness episodes of the Republican Party. Still, and even better, Frank says that `at least McCain had half a point on Wednesday night when he said, "I am not President Bush." What he has offered his country this year is an older, crankier, more unsteady version of Bush. Tragically, he can no sooner escape our despised president than he can escape himself.` [2]. Is there an escape? There is! Get out or stay in! I say this because, with only weeks remaining, he will not be able to change the minds of a troubled country. The Bush collapse has become McCain`s failure to obtain the presidency for the next four years. This should teach us a lesson, I hope!

The answer to the question: `How McCain should distance his campaign from President George Bush` is retirement. The American politics passed MR. McCain time. Now we are waiting for something new or whatever might come? It will be interesting to learn from others what the rest of the world thinks of the relationship of the two primates of the republican camp. Is the rest of the world fed up with them? Have their capitalism contributed to the recession existed in most international banks. Others have been extremely worried about the disconnection of America with the rest of the world. I am not referring to travelling but to communications and partnership which used to be valued in the past. Anyway, despite of this fact, the rest of the world is watching America. We have not given up on you! We are interested in what is happening in America bring it on
