I would like you to know I'm still here.
I haven't gone away,
Though,
Your silence would suggest my absence.
I am right where I left me,
In plain sight of you.
Remember, please.
Look up and find me again,
I haven't gone very far at all.
I wonder what your thoughts mean,
Though,
That is far too dangerous a game,
In which I still play.
Just for a glance,
A peek,
A chance to become a memory.
Gladly I'll cushion your thoughts,
Together we'd make the bed in your mind that keeps you awake at night.
Perhaps, then, you'd remember...
I've been here all along.
