Leadership is needed to give any group of people guidance. A leader does not have to be a CEO or manager, but people in those positions need to develop leadership skills. A person with leadership qualities has to be someone who can motivate others with his words, is trustworthy, and is ambitious. A leader is someone who is a skilled speaker will be able to motivate people. If the people tune out what the person in leadership is saying, his words were of no use to anyone.
A person in leadership needs to be trustworthy. If he is trustworthy, he will be doing the things that foment trust between the leader and the followers. The followers will know whatever the leader says he will do. The person has to build trust through interaction with the followers. So a trustworthy leader will have good communication with his followers.
Ambition is an important quality of a leader. Ambition is the drive that motivates a person to pursue a position of leadership. Ambition will also help a person look for situations to display his leadership skills. Since situations determine if a person is a leader or not, this makes ambition an important quality.
Overall, leadership involves being an effective communicator, being trustworthy, and being ambitious. The leader needs to be able to connect on some level with his followers. His followers need to be able to depend on him. Lastly, he needs the inner motivation to want to lead the group of people.
