I hate salesmen with a passion. The worst of these are car salesmen and of those the worst are those used car salesmen. Why are they so damn annoying? That's a rhetorical question of course, we all know why they are annoying it's because of the fact that they work on commission so they have to be annoying; at least they think they have to be annoying.

Salesmen don't sell they annoy and it loses them sales, well they lose sales from me. Commissioned salespeople are the most desperate people I have ever seen. They will smack each other over the head with a stick in order to get the next customer. Some places are sheer insanity.

No, they don't sell anything unless you are someone who is easily led. Those who are easily led will buy almost anything from anyone at anytime. That is not salesmanship it's manipulation. They manipulate those who can be easily manipulated and proudly call themselves salesmen. Then they move on to the next person who is easily manipulated. Manipulation is nothing to be proud of.

For me there is nothing worse than to have to deal with a salesperson. If the salesman bothers me then I walk out. I don't need anything that desperately that I have to buy from that person or store. Besides, there is always another store in which to spend my money. So, in my case at least, salesmen will lose sales if they bother me or don't answer my questions directly.

And do not try to "upsell" me because you'll get one warning and then I will walk. Many people like to be led or need to be led like cows to the slaughter so salesmen can have a wonderful time with them but , again, that's not really selling. It's almost stealing when people are so easily led by salespeople.

I can not think of any situation that someone would actually sell me something. They may call themselves salesmen but they are nothing but order takers. There is little difference between a so-called salesman and an order taker at a fast food joint. I should apologize to fast food workers for comparing them to car salespeople.

I understand that there are folks who will take exception to all of this and some might even feel insulted. I can't and won't apologize for something I see as being true. So if you are insulted learn to live with it and go on out tomorrow and find someone who is easily manipulated to pad your paycheck. Or get another job where you actually earn your money honestly.

Perhaps there was a time when salesmen actually did sell. Maybe door to door salesmen actually did sell, I don't know because I would never talk to a door to door salesperson. Telephone salespeople might have had a time when they sold things but again I don't know because I have never spoken to a telephone salesperson. I'm rude and simply say no and hang up on them. People coming to my home to attempt to sell me something makes me so frustrated. I didn't invite you to call or come by my house so you have no right to bother me in my home.

No, salesmen don't sell they manipulate those who are easily manipulated like seniors for example. Again, it's almost like stealing when that happens. Consumers know what they want and buy it or at least I and many other people do.
