Watching The Clouds
I lay on my back watching the clouds
An eagle transpires, then there's a crown.
The crown in it's glory illuminates the sky
Dazzling gems, then it slowly subsides.
My mind starts to wander, my eyes begin to close
In the silence I hear soft words spoken low.
I can hear my God whisper his words are clear
He's quietly answering all of my prayers.
Some prayers are answered, some never are
What we need he delivers, not always what we want.
Thank God when we wake, for each brand new day
Make the most of the blessings we receive everyday.
Only God knows what tomorrow will bring
What we want today, may not be what we need.
Make time each day for quiet moments with God
He's patiently waiting where ever you are.
