Gone, he has gone and left me here, with a smile and a kiss and a wave and a suggestion to come and join him when I can, and everything looks different now. I am 14, he is 23. I don't know why my parents don't approve of him!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Can I go to him? Of course I can, it's easy, I will just hitch hike up there. It wouldn't take long and I could sleep in the car. I excitedly told my friends of my plan, and they agreed to come with me for the adventure, after all, who knows what they will find? Maybe they will meet the man of their dreams, as I had, and now I had to be with him.
I planned it perfectly. We were to meet around the corner from my house at midnight, and walk to the main road which will take us out of the city, and begin our hitch hiking from there.

He dropped us off in a small town which reminded me of one from an old western movie scene. There was no one around, and the hot wind blew dust along the street. We walked for a while, to the next main road we needed to take, and found a shady spot under a tree, where we pulled our gear out and rearranged ourselves, swapping stories of things we saw and heard but didn't want to discuss in front of our truck driver friend.
Quickly after starting off down the road, we secured another lift directly to where we were going, and in a few hours I was sick with excitement knowing I would soon see my boyfriend. We drove slowly into the township, were dropped off outside the barracks where my man was staying, and quickly found a public phone to call him. We had to wait till his shift finished, so we made our way to the train station for a wash and
