One of the more provocative issues, surrounding this year's presidential campaign, concerns Barack Obama's motivation to change American culture. He's a liberal democratic with a socialist proclivity, which has been inculcated by a lifetime of communist/socialist education and agenda. He has the monetary and political backing of the Chicago branch of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), where in 1996 he received an endorsement. Finally, by setting himself up as the "messiah," he not only wants to effect worldwide change, he wants to promote his worldwide agenda at the expense of the American taxpayer.
According to the latest Rasmussen Reports, Obama leads McCain 52 to 45 percent. Zogby, Reuters and C-Span show Obama ahead of McCain 48 to 44 percent. If we examine age demographics, the Zogby poll has Obama leading McCain with voters 35 years and younger. McCain is leading with the voters 55 to 69 years. Meanwhile there are currently two age groups, which are deadlocked between Obama and McCain:
The voters 70 years and older, and
The voters between the ages of 35 and 54 years, which is perhaps the most influential group. Obama has 46% percent to McCain's 43%.
These statistics show an overwhelming majority of young American voters are pro-Obama, while the more conservative demographic are pro-McCain.
So, here is the scenario. If Obama is a liberal "socialist" democrat, then why is the American public so enamored of him, especially in light of the fact that we have fought two world wars against tyranny and fascism, a Korean and Viet Nam war against communism, and a cold war against Soviet communist expansion? In light of all this evidence, why is America racing towards a socialist worldview, and given the fact that communism/socialism just does not work? Let the evidence speak for itself! Communism/socialism have left devastated economies and societies in their wake. According to J.D. Longstreet in "Socialism and Obama," he states that socialism "corrupts and corrodes and finally rots a country's core until that country collapses in on itself." This is a pretty bleak assessment of the possible direction that our country might take, if Obama becomes president.
The answer might lie in the public perception that traditional American cultural, religious and societal solutions have failed to fulfill a need in their modern collective lives. The American public definitely might feel that the traditional cultural, religious and societal solutions have failed to solve
