ME
Bare feet in the dust and tired donkeys are me,
Dusty palm trees, national anthems and uniforms are me,
Rain on stone pavements and flashing traffic lights are me,
Typing, puzzling, dreaming and building are me,
Wide flashing smiles, sweet black coffee and side-long glances are me,
Firm hand shakes, broad grins, cigarettes and beer are me,
The closeness, the gossip, the family marriages are me,
Carefree souls and fleeting affairs are me,
Bent old buses, winding roads and sweating donkeys are me,
Trains smoothly running and policemen's caps are me,
Meals with eating sounds and plates piled with rice are me,
Tinkling glasses, boiled shrimp and standing guests in heels are me,
Who will take me home?
