I don't think you should get vouchers just because you send your child to a private school. Also parents shouldn't get a tax credit either. Just because you can afford to send your child to a private school doesn't mean you should get special treatment. We are supposed to be treated equally not have special privilege just because one person has enough money to send their child to private school doesn't mean that they are better then someone e;se. There are poor people that are a lot smarter then some rich people. It is just that they have not had the same chances that the rich person had. I also know that there are some rich people that are smarter then some poor people. This is a prime example of a form of discrimination. I thought that discrimination was suppose to have ended bt now. This is discrimination in the form of the rich versus the poor. Actually it is discriminating between the rich and the middle class. the reason why I say this is because if you are poor then you can get help, but the middle class people are the people that are getting caught in the middle because they are the ones that have to pay for most of the stuff offered in the country not the rich, The middle class people make too much money to get help, but they can't afford to pay for things such as private schools so therefore their children have to go to public schools. I also realize that the poor can't afford to pay for private schools either, but they also get help from the government so they are hurting, but not as much as the middle class people. People don't realize that when there is a tax credit including this one the middle class people almost always get the ax when it comes to the government programs. Why should someone get credit for being able to afford to send their child to private schools? Basically the government is saying that money is more important than anything. Also they are saying as long as you have money then you will be able to get credit on your taxes. I thought this was the land of equality, but with this credit then there is no equality. So in closing I will say this that if you have money and can send your child to private schools then you will be treated special and get credit on your taxes, and those of us that don't have it won't get the credit. All parents should e able to get a tax credit not just those that can afford an expensive private school.
