Poetry: First crush

by Tenisha Dixon

Created on: October 21, 2008

You were the one I first loved, the one who broke my heart

You came and went, you took my world apart

I never wanted to love, not after you

I just want to stare into your eyes and make my dreams come true,

I wanted to hear those three words from you gentle lips

To cruise along in a relationship like a sailing ship

I wanted you to hold me, and I now know it was something you could not do

I wanted your love more than our friendship, all I ever wanted was you.
