Plastic storage bins and their uses

by Rachelle de Bretagne

Created on: October 21, 2008

Plastic storage bins are a great idea, and manufacturers have realized the potential that plastic offers the householder and have adapted traditional styles to fit the home environment perfectly. From the traditional kitchen storage boxes and bins, the adaptations offered these days give the home owner much more choice for their storage needs, helping them to keep their homes in order.

*Stackable Bins.
*Trolley Bins.
*Recycling Bins.
*Wardrobe and cupboard bins
*Under bed storage bins
*Plastic storage baskets.

Stackable bins.

These bins are not only ideal in the kitchen environment for vegetables, but have been adapted for use in the office environment and for within a home workshop. Stackable bins save a tremendous amount of space, and are usually easily accessed by having front openings which mean that you can also see the items kept within the bin area.

For a workshop environment these are perfect for keeping all the bits and pieces used on a regular basis and sorting them into order. The stack range of bins also include those which are used for tools, and which can be transported easily from job to job.

For the children, the bedroom can be enhanced with stackable bins, as many of the new plastics are brightly colored and suited to storage of toys, often coming on a wooden framework making them neat addition to the home.

Trolley bins.

Again popular for vegetables, the designs have been taken a step further and now include office supply storage. These bins are used for paperwork, or even the storage of CD's and disks used within the office, as well as for stationery, making it easily available to the work at home person, being within easy reach of the desk. Trolley bins are ideal to tidy up all those areas which would normally take up valuable shelf space.

Trolley bins are also very useful in the workshop where innovative storage solutions also mean ease of work. Here, heavy tools can be moved from one area of the workshop to another simply and these bins house all the items needed to be used with those power tools, such as necessary drill bits and router cutters.

Recycling bins.

The world is becoming more and more conscious of recycling needs, though often the bins supplied by the government are impractical in a home environment or home owners are expected to transport their rubbish to recycling areas. The new range of recycling bins are great. These are lightweight plastic and have an opening on the front making the rubbish easy to use and light enough to transport to
