Financial crisis: There's plenty of blame to go around

When it comes to the "recession" I choose not to participate. But it gets a little tough.

So who takes the blame for putting America into such a state of crisis? Surely there's plenty to go around; but mainly it's the many massive multi-national corporations who seek to control everything and everyone, and our own Government via crooked politicians who take the bribes (aka campaign contributions) from these controlling companies in order to keep things flowing their way.

*Quick rant: Remind me why it's still legal for politicians to take bribes anyway. Even though they give it a different name, it's still bribery and against the law. And taxes have become so expensive it's beginning to feel more like extortion, the IRS being the strong arm of extortion who breaks your legs if you can't pay because you can't afford to live. Politicians put any criminal behind bars for these types of law-breaking activities. Is that to rid them of competition? Wouldn't that make our Government (or a portion) a large criminal organization?

Although Capitalism is a way of life in a Democratic and supposedly free country, it's becoming so biased and controlled it's definately walking a fine line toward (if we're not already there) Corporatism, where all power is held by civic assemblies known as corporations. The largest contributers to this unbalanced system are the pharmaceutical corporations, which is where 70% of all campaign contributions (bribes) come from. These corporations make more money every year then the Government does on taxes. Which is an amount hard to fathom, even for the average millionaire. But the problem is not solely caused by these corporations who are only trying to get more people to use more drugs (so much for the war on drugs).

The brunt of the blame should go to the politicians for allowing these unethical practices. Over the last 8 years (the reign of Bush) they've managed to wear our beloved Democracy so thin it's now just a membrane, a mask if you will, under which Fascism and Socialism struggle to take root. When the Senate passed the big Bail-Out Bill it was another step toward Socialism, which is often the transitional stage between Capitalism and Communism. Speaking of the "Bail-Out", if our Government is going to by out mortgages, shouldn't the people of this country see a small return on the investment since the Government is suppose to be "We the people"? Just asking.
