Natural cures for kidney stones

A decade ago, natural cures were called "quackery". Today, however, "holistic" cures are usually viewed as complimentary "medicine" to the traditional treatment. Even kidney stones that block the kidney and cause pain and discomfort has been known to have been healed by holistic or natural cures.

Uric Acid Crystals which form in the kidneys may be a serious disease. It is best to go to your physician and first letting him know that you intend to try a natural cure. Most physicians will agree that natural remedies may complement modern medicine. After all, most the natural cures for kidney stones are harmless and may help. If the physician's dictum is "DO NO HARM", then most natural cures for kidney stones are certainly alright.

For instance, a kidney flush tea (cleansing the kidneys) of Juniper berries has been claimed by some as being able to dissolve those kidney stones. Parsley root and the Goldenrod flower tops made into a solution or a tea is also a natural cure for kidney stones.

A natural healing store called HEAL, which is a private association of holistic practitioners claim that they have discovered a formula which is guaranteed to get rid of kidney stones. They call this the KIDNEY FORMULA 2 OZ. which is a rather quaint combination of leaves and roots like Uva Ursi, Corn silk, Horsetail herb, Poppisiwa leaf, Burdock root combined in one formula or solution.

The same group claims that when taken for five consecutive days, this "formula" can dissolve kidney stones and help kidney functions. Though there is no medical journal which has published their claims, there are a lot of patients suffering from kidney stones who swear that they have been cured by this curative concoction.

Kidney beans, (dried French beans) or Rajmah, is likewise believed to be an effective natural remedy for kidney problems, including kidney stones. The beans from inside the pods are sliced and boiled slowly in hot water. After boiling, the decoction is taken as a tea. This cure, supposedly, starts to work 24 hours after drinking it.

But those aren't all. More common plants and herbs like Basil and Celery supposedly can likewise help kidney stones dissolve. Celery has always been known to be a great home remedy for those suffering from kidney stones and even gall bladder problems.

Then we also have the watermelon. This fruit is known to have the highest concentration of water plus it is rich in potassium salts. Thus, it is a natural diuretic which can immensely help in the expulsion of kidney stones or dissolving it.

Aside from these natural food cures, there are also those who claim that certain Yoganas (Yoga exercises) such as the pavanmktasana, uttenpadansana, and the halasena do help those who are suffering from pains because of kidney stones. There is likewise the belief that simply drinking more water and avoiding high protein and salts may be another natural remedy.

Natural and holistic cures are surely cheaper, easier to take and less of an annoyance than traditional treatments, Nevertheless, it is still safe to consult with your physician and informing him that you intend to try one or some of these natural cures.
