What about Child Abuse?
-
Dear Lord, I come to you in Prayer
There is a problem down here that isn't very fair
It's your children Lord I want to talk about,
Their being abused and there's no way out
-
It hurts me to see this being done
A child looks for love and finds none
One of your creatures that knows no sin
What a way for a new life to begin
-
I heard a little girl sing a song on the radio
That swelled my heart and the tears began to flow
The child sang of bruises black and blue
Oh Lord, What can we do?
-
The abuse will not go away
That is why I have decided to pray
Lonesome children that need so much Love
The only true help must come from above
-
A child alone, her feelings tucked on a shelf
With no experience to help herself
No guidance to help her through
Oh Lord, Please touch her as I want to
-
A little boy lost and alone
No where to go, he can't go home
If he does, he'll be broke in two
Frightened, he doesn't know what to do
-
A little baby hungry and wet
Cast aside like an unwanted pet
No touching or cuddling of the bust
This child wont know how to trust
-
And when a woman drowns the children she claims to love
I begin to wonder if there is a God above
But if I didn't know you are there
I wouldn't be able to send this prayer
-
I know that you have been watching your children along
Keep them safe as they belong
Keep them close and safe tonight
And Lord, Let them know love, not fright

Yet I refuse to lose, give up, give in, lie down, quit, stop, and
