I do love jewelry of all sorts, but if I am to pay out a fortune on jewelry because of the metal or stones than yes I would like to know what I am buying and reasons why it is priced so. If jewelry designers want to make a statement, a big splash on fashion and get people interested in their creations, they should tell the public what the jewelry is. We all know no one wants to be scammed.

This honesty from jewelry makers, designers or others would not only help clarify that designers statement, but would also create a trust with the public for greater buying power. Once this trust with that person and products is established than the public is at ease with them almost guaranteeing a returning customer's feedback and sales on future designs. I doubt Coco Channel would have done half as well with designs if she pulled the wool over everyone's eyes and made the public, and manufactures, believe her designs were something they weren't. The same is true in any market with any product.

The designers of Rolex watches have been designing crafted quality watches for years. the public knows when they buy Rolex they are not only buying a watch but also are buying quality. This customer is trusting the truth behind the name and product to be genuine when the sales pitch is given, either by the retailer or the designers. We have established a trust with the name and that ensures the public of what they will expect once the item is bought.

What is the big deal about telling what is in their jewelry? I do believe, since trying to a lot of self marketing/promoting, that there are misleading statements almost everywhere you go whether it's online or in market places in general. This has been one of the marketing world's little, dirty, dark secrets that we have known about for years. Salesmen will tell the public anything about a particular product, item or service just to snag that sale. So, too, is true with how products are designed.

The sad truth is, to really know what it is that you are buying it is up to you the consumer to put forth your time to check it out for yourself. Why, when the salesman already knew how it was designed and what went into it? I don't think it is a very good or professional approach to getting that all-needed sale. It is very hurtful that the marketing world would think that the public is so gullible to believe everything that is told to us.

But yet there are those few out there that might just get the snag from a misleading sales pitch on a product
