We're getting close, we're destined to be there~

The beginning was long, the end is nowhere~

By the time we arrive, neither will care~

We'll trade all our dreams, to defy the nightmare~

We're getting close, we're closer than ever~

We took a wrong turn, we took it together~

There's no turning back, there's no forever~

We've betrayed love, built a twisted endeavor~

We're getting close, we're traveling beyond~

There's nothing left now, life has broken our bond~

All hope has shattered, there's no magic wand~

Our hearts are now tainted, they do not respond~

We're getting close, we're finally right there~

Resentment breads hate, and we no longer care~

Love gave us a chance, fate burned it somewhere~

The journey concludes, destination unfair~
