I live on the corner of a main highway where people believe that their animal will be picked up and taken care of. They have dropped out a dozen or more strays . Dogs and cats alike. Right now I have 3 dogs that were dropped. I had 2 of my own. I was seeking the shelter once a week to pick up these animals. I was confining them so they didn't get hit on the busy highway. The shelters are so full of unwanted animals. Dogs do runaway I am sure , but when they are dropped it is not their fault. I am a person with a heart for animals. I can not stand by and watch these little guys and gals suffer for someones unkindness. I have gotten into trouble because my heart is so big for these little guys. I just want people to understand that if you have an animal, shouldn't it be treated like your child or best friend. They are not things to abuse and throw away. But as I write this article , my mind went to children of the world, they are being treated the same way. Please help me and help the animals. If you have one or if you have several

treat them well. If you don't have any I am sure there is good reason. If you have one and don't want it - please don't dump it out somewhere. See if you can find a home for him or her. If not try a no kill shelter. Somewhere someone would like to have them. Please be considerate of others , yourself and the animal.
