The home is a sanctuary of personal discovery and artistic desire, and incorporates the replication of our individual values and private ideology by creating an impression from the artist within, to be displayed on the external facade and within the living quarters of our human habitat.
Inevitably, our aspirations may be influenced by financial constraints: the level of disposable income and regulations, like housing conditions in rented property, but the interior design and ornamentation that we apply to the canvas can distinguish and define our personalities within the house and home.
Carpets or antique wooden floors, paint and shimmering patterned wallpaper, intense vibrant coloring or calming pastel shades: individual preferences will determine the use of colors and materials in the creation of a haven for escape and relaxation. From the moment we gain access to our first dwelling, we journey a path of styling and decoration.
Over time personal tastes alter, coinciding with the latest trend in fashion or the allowance of available income, but there remains the strive to encapsulate the vision of perfection within four walls.
To accessorize or not to accessorize your living space? If applicable, the use of accessories will emulate our ideals. The sparse decoration befitting minimalist visions or the lure of cluttered shelves and generalized disorder? Each person will adopt a way of living that brings forth creature comforts and harmony within the home.
The family portrait as a centerpiece, or a line of books depicting general interest and timely passions. A home reliant on modern technology and convenience, or period living and the open fireplace.
If you gaze throughout your enclosed walls, what color schemes reflect your temperament, why did you choose to paint or paper? Is a theme repeated throughout the house, or does the taste alter with the use of each room?
If an outsider were to see inside your home, would they be able to gage an opinion towards your personality, from the visible colorants and intimate artefact's? Perhaps you have never noticed how your personal identification is apparent to external eyes; a suggestive reflection of your genetic penchants.
The fortunate possess the capabilities of complete home definition, whereas the common representation is with the combination of the necessity and personal preference, but the simple touch here and there, is of value in presenting a reflection of yourself and your family.
The vase of fresh flowers or that special framed landscape, a nautical themed bathroom or a DIY piece of furniture. The home is a wealth of identifying factors, and if you take a moment to observe your surroundings, you will realize your house is a shrine to your tastes and individuality. With the changing of the seasons and the passing of years, your household will mirror the digression, if any, in you.
