Poetry: Dying

by Allan O'Brien

Created on: October 17, 2008

-Eject-

A prisoner of perception

every thought and belief to link the chain

only one way to escape

the depths of endless pain

such a glorious song I hear

hypnotic and tranquil like the rain

push the button that says eject

enticingly sings my brain;

excessively bleeds my vein.~

Escaping spiritual exile

the world of chaos and disorder

the dream of my life slowly drifts away

like dirt brushed off my shoulder.
