If only for a moment
I could see your smiling face
Hear the laughter in your voice
Share the joy of your day
If only for a moment
I could hold you close to me
Feel the beat of your heart
Wipe a tear from your cheek
If only for a moment
I could have watched you as you grew
Seen the things life put you through
Known that I was there for you
If only for a moment
I could tell you how I feel
Share the brokenness of my heart
Know that you are truly safe
If only for a moment
God would grant my soul some peace
Tell me about your day
Allow me to look into your eyes
If only for a moment
I would shout to the mountains high
I would dance well into the night
I would rejoice in the mornings light
For it would only take a moment
To make my day complete
For you to take my breath away
And bring rest into my life

no worries or fears

smelling the wildflowers
feeling the dew on her toes

Hard Words
Cold and hard some people's words sound
they think it will get me up from the ground
but hard words can not hurt
