Three Great Reasons for the United States to Liberalize Immigration Policy
1.
Immigrants spend money.
Anyone who has studied economics knows that our free market economy is based on consumption. When rate of consumption by the drops, the economy falters. That's where the new blood comes in handy. Demand for housing keeps rents high. Demand for food means supermarkets stay in business. Demand for clothes keeps malls in business. More people living in this country means that demand is high, business is good, and our jobs are safe.
In addition, legal immigrants are willing to pay taxes, as it will help them qualify for social security and citizenship. The doubtful can simply look to the tax return season of 2007, when millions of dollars in back taxes were paid by illegal immigrants who were hoping that some kind of amnesty would be offered by the government. If we could count on new tax revenues from the millions of illegal immigrants who have been forced to deal in cash, maybe it will finally be possible that no child be left behind.
Employers also would have to toe the line. They would find fewer immigrants interested in working off the books, so exploitation of workers and skimping on workers comp and social security payments would diminish. There are countless positive results to letting immigrants work as soon as possible.

A new crop of industries is needed, and a hungry new crop of entrepreneurial citizens is exactly who is needed to lead the charge in creating these new technologies, and jobs for all citizens alike.
3.
People in the US will feel safer.
Most of the terrorists that participated in the 9/11 hijackings entered legally on tourist or student visas that could have been tracked, a fact that appeared to be lost on our primary presidential candidates. But you can't really blame them.
They were searching for a message that resonated with the American populace. That said, it's obvious
