Poetry: Describe yourself

by Paul Kinley

My Skewed Perceptions

Life's last light left me longing, listlessly I leer
Fearful of what force fuels me to find faith
Megalomania and melancholy merge
Sending sharp sighs of sorrow soaring

After all, I am aware
Of omens of occult occurrences
Terrific things that turn to terror:
People pursuing passionless plights

Bitter beings behold beautiful bounties
Untold uniqueness goes unappreciated
Enticed by everything eliciting the eloquence
Violently vindictive with a vexed visage

Helplessly haunted but hopeful
Dredged those dreary dreadful dreams
Carefree countenance clued me to your complacency
Regardless for respect, you reinforce this resent
