Into the Shadowed Mirror
I gaze, usure of what fiend I may see,
Into the Shadowed Mirror,
What skulking, hellish thing will haunt me,
From between glass and darkness,
These paths I've taken, hasty decisions made,
What have I done to me?
My future I cannot scry, my past from which I flee,
My present, my present's banality,
What have I become?
My dreams forgotten, my hopes all put away,
Junk treasures in a battered cardboard box,
Too many travels, to many flights of rejection and insecurity,
How do I runaway from the Shadowed Mirror?
No lomger can I waiy or deny,
The time is now, the need is great,
Still my heart skips a beat as I creep,
Towards the Wicked Glass I go, shaking hand to mouth,
And I see, I see...only me,
Who am I?
