A jogger doesn't always depend on jogging alone. He can swim and exercise at gyms to build and tone the muscles. Sometimes, keeping fit with different exercise routines does help when it comes to chasing snatch thieves. An old granny was robbed and gave the chase to retrieve her purse back.
By working out different exercise routines on different days keeps life more interesting and less mundane. It keeps one on a momentum and raring to go through the rest of the day without feeling lethargic. For women, exercises are important as women lose bone density faster than men by age 30 onwards. Exercise helps to keep the bone density on a more stable level.
By having a variety of exercise routines, it helps to reduce the chances of dementia and the body's ability to burn fats. The transition between different activities should be done with care. Keeping one intense and one slow workout will help the body to adjust more easily.
The body needs time to adjust and patience is a virtue in this case. You don't want to change the routine only to faint the next minute because of the vast changes and your body has not adjusted to the major workout routine yet. Exercises are meant to keep fit and the limbs less rigid as we age.
Benefits of cross training not only includes better health fitness but also the following:
1. Reduce risk of injury.
2. Keep you interested.
3. Helps to burn extra calories.
4. Double as a backup plan.
Before tackling any exercise, it is also important to take note of the body's ability to handle the changes. Training too hard for too long doesn't really make one stronger as the body has reached a plateau after a certain stage. Changes to the routines allows the body to be active and prevents the body from being stagnant.
As mentioned before, a variety of exercises help to reduce the risk of dementia. Dementia is a group of diseases that destroys the brain cells gradually. Exercise keeps the brain cells active and slows down the attack of the cells being destroyed.
Women have higher risks for Osteoporosis and thus, recommended exercises include walking, hiking, free weights, water exercises, yoga and tai chi. Such routines begin before the doctor says you have Osteoporosis as you are more prone to injuries and your exercise routines are limited to a smaller range.
By exercising with different routines from running, swimming, stair climbing, weight lifting, we allow the body to recover when we work out on different parts of the body too. The exercises can be done in the same day or different days too.
While the human craves for routine, by sticking to just one exercise can create boredom and ultimately to find excuses from exercising as it is "boring". Life can be interesting and by having a few different types of exercises, one won't be bored because of the same old routine that seems to suck the life away when it is helping one to gain fitness success.
