Moon Madness
The madness overwhelms
It is coming through in waves.
The moon is bloated and full..
My soul searches for a peaceful refrain.
Madness becomes my resounding tune..
I know the truth of it, yet reality cannot bloom.
I wish to fly away and rebuild my soul.
The scars left are both new and old.
There is no escape from my mindful harm.
The moon reminds me there is no protective charm.
If I could. I would offend.
I would wish to alter and bend.
Madness consumes my bleeding heart.
I know no reason to continue this part.
I wish to run, far and wide.
I pray to find somewhere to hide.
There is no escape from this maddened state.
I only wish to deny and erase.
The beauty once shown so shiny and bright.
Has become my nightmare each moon filled night.
The madness becomes me as I stand alone.
As the moon calls out to me in a soulful moan.
