Poetry: Broken gifts

Crack The Shell

Its intense, the suspense
That wells within
It torments and dements
Never felt such sin

Sink my fingers in
Slice right through my skin
Crack the shell, My skull
Open up to see my soul

Empty out its vile contents
Dig until the stress relents
Scavenge to your heart's content
"Clean" me out till I repent

Set free the searing pain
Sever the soul so it may be
Release what keeps me sane
This will be the end of me

Need to stop the pressure
Wish to relieve the pain
I'd do anything
Just to end the ache
