Feel you need a little help? Getting fit can be one of the most problimatic struggles in our lifetime. Busy schedules, fast-food diets, and a lack of resources make us all fatter and unhealthier than we wish to be.
So we need help. We need someone to tell us how and when to excercise. We need someone to plan what, how much, and when to eat. Hiring a trainer is the most obvious solution, but are you ready to spend the money?
Trainers can put you out a few bucks, as well as mess with your schedule, so they should not be your first option to losing weight.
However, there comes a time when a trainer might be a good idea. Follow these few guidelines to determine whether your ready for one or not.
YOUR PERSONAL SCHEDULE
You will need to decide whether your personal schedule fits into a trainer's schedule. Do you have time to fit an excercise routine into your life? Are you organized enough to keep a good eating schedule?
If your running around all day, and do not have a set schedule, this time in your life may not be good for you. You will need a steady lunch break, enough time to eat breakfast in the morning, and time early at night for a good, healthy supper. You will also need excersise time, which should also be at a set time each day. This will also need to work with your trainer's schedule.
So be sure your not planning any big events, have a big project at work, or are just behind on everything. Get caught up, set a schedule, and keep to that schedule for awhile before hiring a trainer. In the meantime, you can always work on eating healthier, or excersising when you feel you have time.
THE RIGHT MOTIVATION
Be sure you have the right motivation to hire a trainer. If you've been struggling with fitness for years, you most likely gave up on your diets half-way through. You think hiring a trainer will solve this problem, but it won't completely. Another person motivating you, and helping you organize your diet will definately help, but in the end, it is up to you.
Make sure your ready. Set a big goal (eg. I want to lose 40lbs.), and then set a number of smaller goals on top of that. (eg. I want to eat healthier, I want to get toned up, I want to learn better habits.) You will be better able to discuss these with your trainer, and keep motivation until you've reached these goals.
THE FINANCES
Don't splurge on a trainer if you don't have the money to splurge. However, if you do feel dedicated to hiring one, save up enough so you don't go broke. As an extra benefit, saving over a period of time will further motivate you to go through with the trainer's program.
A trainer can cost up to $65-$80 per hour. Don't you wish we all made that kind of money? If you find you cannot afford a trainer with your current income and savings, try other options to get fit. Set a schedule for yourself to eat healthy and start excercising.
A trainer can be a huge waste of money and time if your not ready for it. You will have to be dedicated in order to go through with a program. Think about it, research it, and make the best choice for yourself.
