Before I enter into this debate I need to ask those who believe in a divine Mary and a divine Jesus, one question? What benefit is there in believing that Jesus or Mary were divine? I have thought and thought and cannot come up with a single one. Is Christianity a monotheistic faith like Judaism and Islam? If it truly is then there is only One God, with no strings attached. Are the believers of One God getting the short end of the stick by having just a Divine God? What are they missing out on by not believing in divine prophets or their mothers? The One Supreme God is enough for all mankind and for all other planets and life therein and for the galaxies and milky ways that we can only wonder up and marvel at. One God is a concept essential to the existence of man. Someone made us for a good reason. We need to believe that everything happens for a purpose, that our actions will be rewarded or punished and most of all, that we are not alone. The God who created us from nothingness is close to us. He hears our pleas for help, our prayers and our sincere efforts. He is there to care for us, to give us what we need and want and to provide solace to our soul in our dark times. God is there to forgive us, His Mercy needs no strings attached to it. If I, as a humble human being, can forgive someone who wronged me, without any preconditions, without sending someone dear to me to be sacrificed, why cannot God? Why has his mercy been limited by the faulty ideas of men? Does make any sense? As a tragic fairy tale perhaps, but not as a universal truth.

God sent messengers into the world from the very start of times, to give us an example to live by and to send us His word. That makes sense. People need help and guidance from God. His prophets are His signs that remind us about God when we have forgotten about Him. However His mercy and compassion need no helpers, no props, no reasons or justifications. Why need I think of God sending His "only begotten son" to be sacrificed on my behalf? Did I never feel the love of God before that? Can I not look at this glorious Universe with its splendid mountains, trees, animals, birds, insects, fruits, vegetables, etc., etc., and believe that there is a wonderful God who loves me and forgives me? What bigger sign do I need? Our children believe that we love them and we need not stage a drama of sacrifice to make out point. Our daily love to proof enough of that. And if they make mistakes as they are sure to, our forgiveness with no
