Presence of Lovers
The grace of a moment captured in a look
A soul stolen with the simplicity of a smile
A story told in just about every book
Beauty personified, every moment worthwhile
This gentle sound shakes my soul awake
In a vision where all else is silent now
Your laughter causes this slight ache
My heart stirs more than I thought to allow
Encased in this prison of self conscience doubt
I am frozen in place by the thought of rejection
My heart struggling to scream and shout
The boundless depths of my endless affection
A star's lifetime goes by in that one single blink
As eyes meet and fears are mirrored in their reflection
Barriers fall all around to form this link
And two souls align in utter perfection
The entire world revolving around us
Time stops as lips touch one another
Identities lost in that single sweet caress
All else fading in the presence of lovers

Morning by the Sea
Enveloped in a blanket of soft golden hues
She lies unaware of my silent adoration.
Her beauty simply astounds
LONGING
She walks in shadows,
Memories
her companions
Of a time
she once knew
In a place where
she once
was smiling
With you.
Where
-the track spinning-
in my ear
i hear lauryn hill
singing to "tell him"
The peak of happiness.
Rushing memories of your smile.
No
Why should I fear?
The rage of men
with fist of steel
among caboodle of warriors
when your burning love for I
unique and untainted
is
Smooth as silk
Soft, yet firm
Do I dare to touch again
Her collarbone?
Warm and welcome
Electric elevation
Trust I taste sweet
