Maintaining Gut Health is Important
Can you imagine what would happen if the food had no way to get into the body, or if the food had no place to wait while it processes, or if there were no place for the food to exit when it is exhausted. This would be gut failure! The good news is, it is all this is in the conditional sense and you can start today to work toward maintaining or beginning steps to a healthy gut.
The gut is the primary way for the nurtients to enter the body. The body can also receive the same nutrients directly into the blood through the capillaries. But seriously should we even talk about health through tubes and needles via the capillaries? That is why it pays to start thinking in terms of a healthy gut and avoid this route. That is why sound gut health is the major signature for a healthy body.
Wait and see what happens when you irritate the gut! It stops doing its job and many body parts suffer. The initial irritation sets forth a torpedo reaction that you may not stop unless you run fast enough. Think of some practical examples to start. Imagine the gut is irritated from ulceration and it hurts to deposit food in it. Imagine the gut being unable to hold anything, the food being eaten almost at the same time it is leaving the body! Imagine the food staying in the gut, but not being able to get across to the bloodstream. Gut it?
The gut will not do much unless it is in good shape. It is easy to take many things for granted about gut health but when you stop and think, even the center of healing through medication is calculated around sound gut activity. Besides the gut is the most economical, convenient , familiar and for the most part the safest delivery route for medications.
Consequently taking responsibility for watching what goes in the gut is almost imperative. Some foods and beverages are not for gut health. What irritates your stomach may not irritate others. Watch what the body tolerates. Some environments are not for gut health either. Cigarette smoke may irritate the gut and even provoke nausea. Non-environmental safe cleaning supplies accidentally inhaled might find escape into the gut and upset the system.
It is easy to adopt ways healthy to the gut, for example, going to the rest room as soon as there is an alert. Wasting time puts undue stress on the body. One: fluids will leak out of the gut contents back into the body system. Two: pushing might be necessary to get things out of the rectum! So just go when it is time. It's time well-spent. The gut needs moisture to mix things. Drink water. Exercise helps move gut contents to where they need to go. It is not advisable to leave the body distended with food just before bedtime! Plan your meals ahead of time.
Because the gut is the relay mechanism between the food and the rest of the body, it is prudent to invest in ways that promote its well being.
