He lies to everyone
He smiles when he is sad
Says he is fine when he isn't
They all think he is happy;
They don't know anything
These secrets he tries to hide;
these secrets he is only hiding from hiself
He lies to everyone
The lies pile up and he can't see past them anymore
He doesn't want to see pas them
he wants to hide behind his wall of lies;
it has become his fortress
He puts on a disguise;
He is who everyone wants him to be
Inside he fights with himself
He just wants to be free
He tears down the wall
An attempt to let them see
The wall is gone
He still can't let them see
Why can't he tell the truth
He stares into his mirror
He is ashamed of what he sees;
Ashamed of what he isn't
his reflection is his enemy, "I hate you."

And hope to lie.
Truths be told,
Then people cry.
Mix them up,
And tell me which is which.
Then within
Lies, lies, fingers in pies
You just can't admit it, your high as a kite
Your bubbling and brooding will get you nowhere
Something happened
Something did
I should
But I don't regret it
Other people were there
Other people know
One of them told her
They

layer upon layer
of silver lined lies

in an intricate
lace-patterned cloak
of deceit
and slowly
it
I wish I could have seen
your face when you told me
"I love you"
I just know you were winkng
at the girl all dressed in
