Poetic Prowess
Fine times fly by fierce rhymes entwined in this mind
Talented tatters of textured tourniquets falling from old wounds
Playing parallel pictures off mirrored images of self
Managing to manipulate months and moons across memory
Time flows the fine flawless flow of timelessness adrift
Painted words vex verily the voracious and virtuous alike
Sounds soothing soft sorrows seldom selling themselves short
This poetic license liberating latent language forming luscious lyrics
Listing listlessly the liberties of life, laughter, and love
I jot my jogging thoughts just so, impaled on jaded concepts
Writing writhing, wilting emotions emanating from righteous words
Lustfully longing for a lavish release from these ludicrous letters
Tainted tellers trying to truncate truths in tight knots for tantric rebirth
As "all's well" flows from ink wells out of bottomless pits in endless hells
Try as you might to best the mighty, you must maintain this mountain's size
For to scale such heights as these I do defy is but a trickle to this river that is I
