As the leaves start to fall from the trees, you know the seasons are changing. The tempurature starts to decend. Each day it gets colder and colder. The days get shorter and the nights longer. Slowly it becomes winter and the weather becomes bone chilling. One morning as your on your way out the door, you feel the real chill. The kind of chill that means Winter is here. The temperature has finally hit freezing. As your body shakes from the cold your nose starts to run. There is frost covering everything. Its as if everything is frozen. You start to clean the ice off your car as you notice a few snow flakes falling from the sky. It starts as just a few maybe ten or twenty as the day goes on it slowly picks up. The anticipation is thrilling. Its as if your four years old and as happy as can be. As the snow builds slowly you are inside warming hot chocolate in the microwave, and watching the news for the weather update. The next morning you are ready for school but praying to god for a snow day. You sit and watch as the school closings run across the screen. Every second it gets closer you started at the A's now your at the C's you know your school is in the H's but you cant wait you flip between channels to find it quicker but you find your school has already passed on the other channel and you missed it. As it approaches the H's you watch carefully and sit up on the edge of your chair. The anticipation is outstanding! You can't take it any more here it comes SNOW DAY! You jump up and scream your so excited. As you call your friends who were watching at the same time. There's only one question to ask. When are we going sledding? However theres only one answer to that question, as soon as theres enough snow! You grab your sleds and run to the hill. Jus as you reach the top you stop turn around and look down. As you start to sit down on the sled your heart beats faster. Theres a count to three and everyone pushes off. It is a race to the finish first one down wins. Winning doesnt matter though. Everyone gets right back up and runs back to the top. Every time you go down its just as fun as the last. Adfter a few hours, your clothes are getting wet and its time to go home and warm up. As soon as its warm you go out with your shovel. Now its time to make some money. You go around the neighborhood offering to shovel snow for old women for money. As you walk home with confidence, a full pocket, and a smile. You know that after all the snow was and always will be worth it.
