The Nature of My World
Calling me is a voice, comprised of
Millions of individual voices combined.
Animals, plants, the water and wind -
They call to me with force found only in mythology.
A mermaid, a selkie, a siren -
The song is found in the call of the sea, the
Roar of the waves crashing upon the
Sand and the rocks.
An echo found in every shell,
An echo in my blood.
The sea sings from within me.
It uses my veins, my heart, my voice.
Somehow I find, like sea children before me,
I am helpless to resist Her calls.
She is me, and I am Her -
It is the nature of my world.
