A four year old with a fetish
for four letter words
enjoyed their shocking use.
Just this morning
he said it to Grandpa
when he didn't want to
put on his shoes.
Yesterday he said it
to the babysitter
when he didn't like her soup.
Last night he told his father
his thoughts on going to bed.
When told that he was naughty
and his mouth would be
washed with soap,
he told his mom to bring
some to church 'cuz
the preacher needed it worse.

I love my family,
I love sunshine,
I love waking in the middle
