Friends Help Us To Find Ourselves

Verbal communication is one of the most common forms of communication that humans use on a daily basis to get their messages across to other people. These discussions are easily facilitated by a telephone or face-to-face.

Humans like to talk, some a little too much and other not enough, but there are reasons behind it. Our complex brains combined with our nature means that we have the need to continually justify the things that happen in our world and how they affect us as individuals.

Some people have families that discuss their issues together, making sure that each member of the family gets a turn to be heard. Some people have co-workers that they discuss things with when things at work start to get out of hand. Some people even have friends that they are able to discuss things with, and these discussions are probably one of the most important discussions a person can have.

A friend should always listen to what you have to say without judgement and then give their point of view or offer a way to solve a problem you might have. The discussions with friends can last hours, days even, or just a few minutes.

The long discussions between friends are usually of a more intimate nature, where relationships or emotions might be brought into the discussion. The friends are usually joined by comfort foods and drinks' to help make discussing the issue' easier. Who can resist a box of chocolates, especially when you can share them with your friends will discussing the best way to wash the hair dye out of your cat that your younger sister put there.

Not every discussion we have with our friends is going to be a happy one. Some might even turn into yelling matches, ending with one or more members of the discussion storming off vowing to never contact you again. This will keep happening even in your adult years, but don't let it put you off having discussions with your friends.

The idea of having a discussion, even if it doesn't end how you thought it should, is a simple one. Discussions are used to create and share ideas, reason through problems we encounter in our lives, share the excitements we have experienced, and even to entertain. Some times, not every one involved in the discussion will agree with your view point, which could make other members uncomfortable, but we have to remember that everyone is entitled to their opinion and to have it heard too.

Fallings out with friends gives yet another excuse to have an important discussion,
