Poetry is magnifying the world
through the lens of a word,
thought the mouthpiece of a throught,
through the philosophy of a stream.
It's the essence of truth,
the wish to say everything we cannot;
but strive to.
It's the purpose, you can't describe
the painting, you can only feel
the meaning which remains hidden
even to that of the poet.
It's a moment,
it's a shape,
it's a gasp,
and it's gone.
