They say everyone has a twin. I don't mean an identical twin or even a twin sibling. What I mean is a lookalike or doppleganger, someone who resembles you so much that he or she could be mistaken for you by someone who doesn't know you well. I've heard it said that we all have one and have wondered about mine from time to time. As the story goes, you are never able to meet your doppleganger. The consequenses are supposed to be dire if the two were to meet. I don't know about that, but, I think I came very close to meeting mine.
After marrying young and divorcing shortly after, i joined a group of women who were in situations similar to mine. This group traveled around to different areas of the country and abroad whenever possible. Not all of us were available to go on every trip due to family and job obligations. I've gone to Mexico, Jamaica, California and the Bahamas. Whenever we go somewhere, we take loads and loads of pictures and share them online with not only our families and friends, but also with the members of the group that couldn't make the trip. There were pictures of local landmarks. There were beautiful shots of landscapes and skylines. There were even photos taken at shows they attended. I liked the candid shots the best. These pictures showed my friends having fun, laughing it up and mingling with the locals. As I was looking through these pictures, I saw someone who looked alot like me.
After flipping through the rest of the candid shots, I went back to find the woman who resembled me and noticed that she appeared in seven of the pictures. Apparently these seven photos were all taken on the same day, because this woman was wearing the same red shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. She seemed to be having a good time. In one picture, she was dancing, in another, laughing and in almost all of them she was smiling. I just couldn't get over how much she looked like me. She appeared to be about the same height and body type as I am. She had the same color hair, though hers was a little longer than mine and worn out, whereas I usually keep mine in a ponytail. She had the same facial features and even the
