She used to wear the chains of gold
and now her chains have changed.
She loved those ankle bracelets...
until she felt the pain...
of those chains around her ankles,
her feet are bound by two
the sound just goes right through her...
what's a prisoner to do?
She's a prinsner of her own accord
her life was going fine...
until her friends around her...
were of the other kind.
The chains of bondage have no key...
there are no chains of gold...
because without her chains, you see,
it would be against the rules.
Her outfit is not a well-known brand
and the stripes just make her fat
as the thick chains...well, they grow heavier
as she recalls the brawl that began as a spat!
Oh...the chains are knotted, they won't undo
she feels like she's choking around her shoes
and the untimely passing of an inmate's soul
just makes the gang sad...her old little crew.
The chains are hell, in bondage she feels...
and there is no way out...in her senior year!

the sun has never shone,
I lay, in tears, on dusty floors
So scared, and all alone.

Though there is the one before and after
So together shall
There are scars deep inside me
From the chains that were there
Chains which still twist inside me;
Make me feel so scared.
They
Velvet Chains
Sitting on a park bench,
On a beautiful spring day,
Two old friends were reminiscing,
Of times long gone away.
