I care to make a wager. I will speculate that the stock market will not go back up until a Republican President is elected. I will vote Republican because of my ideals that are reflected in the Republican Party, not for McCain specifically. I would have much preferred Mitt Romney myself, but McCain was chosen against my wishes, so to stay in the game, he's my guy. I also like the fact that he chose a woman to be his VP.

Many Democrats think we live in a democracy and we don't. We live in a Republic. We have an electoral college that presides over the elections because not everyone has time or interest in serious debate about the ethics and ideals facing our nation. The reason that Bush won in Florida had everything to do with the electoral college. The fact that Obama won over Clinton had everything to do with the electoral college, even though she had won the popular vote.

Recent Democrat administrations have pushed for more and more centralized power in Washington with secondary consideration for the rights of individuals and communities. Case in point, 64% of Californians voted against gay marriage, so it was immediately overturned by the California court system. California is so regulated that we cannot drill for oil or prudently forest our trees. Big business has left this state again and again, because the bureaucrats have created every possible obstacle to prevent a thriving economy. Now California has its hand out to the Feds.

Why would international investors put money into our markets when we have Barny Frank and his ilk overseeing it? For six years President Bush recognized and was sounding alarms about the regulators of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but in fact he did nothing. The last two years we have had a Democratic Congress that oh so proudly got in the way of anything Bush attempted. How dare they be proud of their crummy little 9% approval. I speculate that the FBI will discover enough criminal intent on the part of several of the Financial CEOs, and that several will find their way to prison. (Small point, look at what "they" did to Martha Stewert,...look at how Sarah Palin is treated,...then tell me we don't have sexual bias in this country.)

Obama is going to give money to 45% of Americans, who do not pay taxes, the money those of us who actually pay taxes, our tax money. He is going to raise taxes on the top 5% of our population who are already paying for the 45% who pay nothing. Where did he learn his math? Harvard? They would cringe at this lack of logic. I'm an arty person, and even I can figure this one out. No one in their right mind will invest here, including Americans, if we are to be guilt tripped into paying for the unwashed masses more than we already are.

I also want to point out that Obama's contribution of $800,000 to Acorn could have been better spent by giving it to charities, such as VP Cheney has always done. Cheney donated 80% of his income to charities, as do many people of faith. People who can make money often have a positive outlook and are very willing to share. It is completely different is we are goaded into spending so the government can waste it for us on a "social program". Has Obamba ever had a "real" job, you know the kind you go to whether you want to or not, so a person can pay their bills?

If you want the stock market to go up, I say, VOTE McCain!
