- ENAMELED CAST IRON OR STEEL sinks come in a great range of colors are easiest to clean. Be aware, though, that the enamel is more prone to cracking or chipping than other finishes. A cast-iron kitchen sink is significantly more expensive than steel.

- POLYESTER/ACRYLIC COMPOSITE sinks are popular due to wide color choice, shiny finish, and low price. However, they scratch, stain, and nick easily. Some models fail heat resistance tests, melting when in contact with hot pans.

- QUARTZ COMPOSITE sinks are a durable yet affordable combination of quartz and resin with a matte finish. They offer the wide color choice available in polyester/acrylic composite sinks without the higher risk of damage.
Price range: $250-$800
- INTEGRAL SOLID SURFACE sinks offer countertop and sink in one piece. This makes cleaning very easy, but the price is on the high side. Made of acrylic polymer, they are easy to clean and more heat resistant than acrylic composites, but they are at risk for scratches and dents. The good news
