Secrecy places a mirror in front of transparency and any relationship without openness will not survive and grow in honest soil. Rather it be a couple, friends, parents and children or government verses the people; there must be no shield to protect one without the other.
A couple represents each other and that reflects upon their characters. Without that team role the relationship will be harmed. This also applies to parents who are not honest and open with their children. If taught at an early age to travel a road of goodness they will retain a high moral standard and will return these ten-fold to others as they mature. But if raised in a household of secrets and deceit they will become rebellious and look for other ways to express themselves. A foundation of trust starts early in life but once broken is hard to recapture.
Politicians are not only the leaders they are the teachers. What crumbles from behind closed doors offers no way for any to understand why. People are taught the government is: of the people, for the people and by the people.
They should carry the highest morals possible so future generations will perceive the concept of honesty and how to resolve problems that arise. There should be no question that the press or public should not be included. In this modern age of today with high technology things hidden have a way of coming to light much easier. One lie always leads to another.
For candidates and the government to choose closed private doors instead of laying things upfront on the table, for all of us to see, has been part of the downfall of our political system. Power and greed are the hammer that pulls the strings and unfortunately turns many well meaning political figures into puppets.
We have a basic two party system where neither side gets it. Maybe what we need is a modern day Robin Hood.
Choices and free speech are two things America doesn't need to lose but rules and regulations that harm the country must be eliminated. Fat cats must be turned out onto the streets to fend for themselves just like a common citizen if not jailed. To see these CEO's live it up during the bailout was just plain disgusting. Their kickbacks and perks should all be given over to help the national debt and they should do it openly from their hearts.
In the insane time of today's situation there is options, but these wrong doers need to pony up for their selfish errors that have debilitated millions of innocent citizens. Right is right and wrong is wrong. There is no way around that truth. Commonsense seems to be missing in most of these supposedly scholarly politicians.
Their closets need to be empty and their hearts need a big dose of loyalty.
We can only hope it is not too late to save the people.
