With my eyes open
I go about, day by day,
Silently dreaming.
I dream of country,
Of narrow roads lined with trees,
An arc of deep green.
The colors of fall
Sprinkle the earth with beauty
And gives me great joy.
The sound of laughter
Echoes through empty hallways,
So my heart smiles.
The soft smell of pie
Wafting through open windows,
On a summer day.
The feeling of love,
As we tenderly hold hands
And share sweet kisses.
So I go dreaming
And not a soul knew of it,
Until this moment.

Of pure air to breathe
And brilliant, joyous music
