This Day
Another day downs as twilight fades away
The shadows and shades of gray dissipate
Leaving not but the warm sun's rays
Enticing visions from once dark corners
The slate swept clean once more
As a new dawn is realized
Fading fears leaving sights of serenity
And that's where I begin my rise
Perceiving dreams as possibilities
Not as things that may or may not be
Dark thoughts transformed to fossils
Crushed by a rising sense of purity
Pulled from the depths of disillusion
I hold the key to the future I see
"The powers that be" grasped in full
By a mind's eye in its time of need
Massive moments molded by mine own mind
Foundations forged, formed, and focused
As all doubts are crumpled and cast aside
As insecurities are buried never again to rise
Flourishing fully this day moves on
Finding fickle worries discarded without thought
Focused on prosperity and a positive polar pull
I stride confidently around unseen corners
And as dusk creeps over that far horizon
As the setting sun pulls in its rays
I move motivated into that dark night
And fear not for future days...
I but await the coming light

Never, joy
