The paranormal: Do you believe in it

Paranormal occurrences are just too out of this world to be easily dismissed. So I would have to say yes, I do believe in it. I've done extensive research on UFO abductions, haunted houses, ghost sightings and other eerie occurrences that can't be explained rationally. This is a world many have trained themselves not to see, but I believe it exists because the available evidence is just too fantastic to be ignored or scoffed at. Just because something is invisible doesn't mean it can't cause you to be frightened.

Never have I seen a ghost or been stuck in a haunted house. From what I've heard this kind of experience can be terrifying. I'm not a skeptic, but I can readily accept the notion that ghosts do exist and haunt the living for a variety of reasons. I've read that the spirits of dead people can be fairly benign, and others are malevolent. If the occupant suffered a great injustice or was treated unfairly those unpleasant emotions stay behind, and the bitterness and anger seeps into the walls, the ceilings and every other part of the house. This is the true essence of a haunted house, a dwelling which vibrates with madness and a violent, destructive energy.

Those messages about the past will be transmitted on a subconscious level to any living person sensitive enough to receive what is similar to a telepathic echo. On a conscious level, these impressions will manifest themselves in the form of ghosts. Since they aren't bound by the laws of physics, ghosts can travel freely through solid objects and appear spontaneously anywhere they choose. Ghost pictures like the Brown Lady of Raynam Hall and the Freddy Jackson photo are hard to dismiss.

Like ghosts, I have never seen a UFO before. I know that reading books and other internet resources is no substitute for an authentic experience, but two cases which are seemingly irrefutable are the Travis Walton disappearance and the famous case of Betty and Barney Hill, who claimed they saw a UFO in 1961. The details of their encounters are not superficial or exaggerated in any way, and they are certainly not crazy or delusional. Mrs. Hill drew a diagram of a star system forty light years away from Earth, and she did it six years before it was discovered. The part of the galaxy in question is the Zeta Reticuli system, from where the aliens claimed to have originated.

Mr. Walton's encounter was more unsettling. He was dumped by the side of a highway in the middle of the night, and had to run to a gas station to call his family. His home state of Arizona has seen plenty of UFO activity, and his friends who were with him the night he was abducted were apparently truthful about what they saw.

Skeptics would say these stories are mere fabrications to garner attention and fame. But I see something else, a world with beings far different from us who are hidden from plain sight.

Finding them is just a matter of keeping your eyes open, and knowing where to look.
